ASR....The Night before

Everyone was in town for ASR. Brother's Linnberg, BJ and Jim, made their ways down from the Northwest to celebrate in the festivities. I lived in Montana with both these guys and I can attest to their sheer awesomeness.

It's that time of the year again......January's ASR! Start warming up those High Five hands and soaking your hands in bleach. My guess is that half of the action sports industry will be sick the first week of February, but that's just a guess. Here are a few pictures of last January until some new madness goes down.

This is one of the funniest things I have see in a very very very longtime. The video alone is amazing, but add the "translation" and it is off the richter scale!

Volcom Mt High PBRJ

Friday January 18th was the first night event of the 2008 Volcom Stone PBRJ contest series. It's a FREE event (that's right free) for shredders around the country.

It was about 25 degrees and this guy ran shorts all night long......no joke. I guess UGG boots really do keep you warm.
The awards ceremony was packed. People love getting cash.

Shred the Gnar.....well kind of

Kyle and I went to Mt High on Saturday for Utility Boardhop's Pull the Pin snowboard contest. I had the honor of announcing the event and spend a good 3 hours talking to anyone who would listen to me. I got to take a few hot laps before calling it a day and beating traffic off the mountain. Good old snowboard in L.A. County!

Old Business

Shred the Gnar!

Southern California got puked on over the weekend!
Go shred some pow at Big Bear. It's the best it's been all year..........
Then after that shred even more snow at Mammoth. They got 6-8 ft in the last storm cycle. Should be a good rest of the season.

I love vacationing. Especially when you don't have to go anywhere! Spent New Year's at the Saloon with good friends and New Year's day ice skating with Annika. I also ate Hotdog on a stick.....mmmm mmm good.
